Item modes let one Palstora catalog handle different kinds of physical belongings. Record one-off objects, count repeatable supplies with low-stock warnings, or mark tools and equipment as bookable when people need to know who has them.
Item modes are available within the Palstora catalog.
Not every physical item should be tracked the same way.
A cordless drill, a box of replacement filters, and a shared tool all need different information. Treating every record as a single object makes it harder to see available stock, act on low quantities, or know when someone has borrowed something.

Palstora offers three item modes: standard records for individual objects, quantity records for supplies you count, and bookable records for shared items. Each mode keeps the catalog focused on the information needed to find, maintain, or share that particular belonging.

How to use Palstora
Add an item to its storage location
Create the record inside the room, cabinet, drawer, box, or other container where it belongs.
Choose the item mode
Use Standard for one object, Quantity for counted supplies, or Bookable for an item that someone can borrow.
Record the relevant details
Set a quantity and optional low-stock threshold for supplies, or keep booking information current for shared equipment.
Use the status in the catalog
See quantities, low-stock warnings, and booking availability while you browse or search the stored records.
